Tag-Along Weekend Itinerary

See below the detailed itinerary for the weekend

Day 1

Friday 14th March 2025
Meet and Greet - Cleveland -

Overnight at Flinders Beach

Day 1: Meet and Greet - Cleveland
  • 9:45 AM: Meet at Sealink Ferries 12 Emmett Dr, Cleveland (in Ferry check-in lane). Best not to arrive too early, as there's limited parking.

  • 10:30 AM: Load up onto Sealink Ferry, as directed by Sealink staff.

  • Travel Time: Ferry travel time approximately 45 - 50 mins. Gather together on ferry once on board for beach driving briefing.

  • Activity: As we roll off the ferry we'll travel to our first activity of Koala spotting.

  • Lunch: BYO lunch at the park after Koala spotting. Caravans will be parked close in the same park. 

  • Activity: Stop at the Seafood shop for anyone wanting to purchase fresh seafood from the local trawler.

  • Arrive: Beach driving briefing and drive up the beach to camp. Unhook and setup.

  • Low Tide: We can only get up the beach a few hours either side of low tide. Low tide 3:37pm.

  • Afternoon: Afternoon tea with damper (if no fire ban).

  • Evening: BYO dinner at camp.

  • After dinner: Relax around the Campfire. 

  • Overnight: Flinders Beach camping area 

  • Campground Facilities: Public toilets available at the campground.

Day 2

Saturday 15th March 2025
Tour the Island and Island Activities
Overnight at Flinders Beach 

Day 2: Tour Straddie and visit local beaches and walks
  • Breakfast: Breakfast at approx. 8.30am at our camp site. Catered by Beach2Bush Adventures. BYO chair and cutlery.

  • Morning: Morning briefing after breakfast.

  • Activity: Relax around camp and enjoy some time on the beach.

  • Late Morning: Drive up the beach and explore Straddie and up to Point Lookout.

  • Activities: Walk the North Gorge path to Point Lookout Surf Club.

  • Lunch: Stop into Point Lookout Surf Club. Pre-pack lunch and eat on the grass outside the surf club, or purchase lunch at the surf club.

  • Activities: After lunch drive up Main Beach and collect pippies. Banksy to cook up pippies as "poor man's oysters kilpatrick" for afternoon snacks back at camp. 

  • Activities:  Travel to Brown Lake. Swimming in the tea tree lake for anyone interested. â€‹

  • Afternoon: Stop in at Little Ship Inn for waterfront beverages.

  • Low Tide: 4:01pm

  • Dinner: Back to camp. BYO dinner. Relax around the campfire.

  • Overnight: Flinders Beach camping area

Day 3

Sunday 16th March 2025
Visit the Springs and Private Straddie Brewery Tour

Day 3: Visit the local springs and tour and tasting at Straddie Brewery
  • Breakfast: Breakfast at 8.30am at our camp site. Catered by Beach2Bush Adventures. BYO chair and cutlery.

  • Morning: Morning briefing after breakfast.

  • 9:30am: Pack up camp and hitch up caravans. Not returning to camp ground.

  • 11:00 AM Activities: Drive to Myora Springs and walk the short boardwalk.

  • Lunch: Drive to Straddie Brewery. Pre-pack lunch and eat BYO lunch at park near the brewery, or buy lunch at Straddie Brewery.

  • Activities: Straddie Brewery tour and tasting. Chill on the deck ovelooking Moreton Bay towards Brisbane, or on the grass in the downstairs beer garden for anyone with dogs.

  • 4:00pm: Line up for loading onto Sealink Ferry, for return to Brisbane.

  • 4:30pm: Roll onto Sealink Ferry.

  • 5:15pm: Arrive back at Cleveland ferry terminal.

  • Terms and Conditions: Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully.

  • Departure: Please arrive by 9:45am and check-in at Sealink Cleveland ferry terminal.

  • IMPORTANT: Ensure you have a full tank of fuel and all supplies needed for the weekend. BYO Beverages, Lunch and Dinner, as required.

  • Inclusions:

    • All camping fees and breakfast included for up to 2 adults for 2 nights / mornings (unless invoiced accordingly).

    • Vehicle Ferry Fee.

    • Brewery Tour Fee.

    • Afternoon Tea and Damper on Day 1 (fire ban exception).

  • Exclusions:

    • Dinners, Lunches and Beverages are self-catered / purchased by the participants.

    • Beach vehicle permit must be pre-purchased for each vehicle. Instructions will be provided by email.

  • Dietary Requirements: Any special dietary requirements are to be advised when booking.

  • Packing: Bring beach towel, swimwear, sunscreen, hat, walking shoes, insect spray and any necessary supplies for outdoor activities.

  • UHF Radio: It's essential each vehicle has a UHF Radio on board, either fitted, or handheld. This will be used to communicate when in convoy and keep everyone together and avoid any confusion. We have some for hire. You can purchase when purchasing tickets.

  • Safety: Carry plenty of water, and be mindful of local wildlife.

  • Weather: Check the weather forecast and pack appropriately.
